Spring Election 2026

Jackson County Board Candidates (2026):

District 1- Brian Bethke -District 2 – David K. Holen; District 3 – Hoyt Strandberg; District 4 – Daryl Boe; District 5 – Merlin Fredrickson, Michael J. Beck; District 6 – Mike Kunes; District 7 – Russell Anderson; District 8 – Max Hart; District 9 – William Laurent; District 10 – Tom Cooper, Nicole Pettibone; District 11 – Garth R. Rolbiecki; District 12 – Ron Carney; District 13 – Dale Hoff, Ron Johnson; District 14 – John C. Higgins; District 15 – Sarah Peloquin; District 16 – Desiree Gearing-Lancaster; District 17 – Reed Richardson, Mark Miles (write-in); District 18 – Jerry Schmidt; District 19 – Ed Chamberlain, Tom Franks (write-in). 

Black River Falls CITY COUNCIL ELECTION 2026

 Voters in the City of Black River Falls will select a mayor and alderpersons for Wards 1 through 4 in the April 7, 2026, election. Candidates include Jay Eddy for Mayor, Erin E. Rave (Ward 1), Jacob Peloquin (Ward 2), Kylee Wussow (Ward 3), and Justin Dougherty (Ward 4). At this time, no races appear to be contested, meaning each position has one listed candidate, though write-in votes may still be cast. These roles play an important part in guiding city decisions, policies, and local governance. 

Black River Falls School Board Election 2026

Voters in the Black River Falls School District will select up to two school board members in the April 7, 2026 election. Candidates include incumbents Iftikhar Memon and Jenette Simonson, along with Jesse Susa and Adam Bantell.  This race will help shape the direction of local education, making it an important decision for families and the community. 

Alma Center School Board Election 2026

Voters in the Alma Center School District will select up to two school board members in the April 7, 2026 election. Candidates include Sam Prindle, Nick Bohac, Stephanie Werre, and Eric Robers, with additional write-in options available. This race will help guide decisions impacting local schools, students, and the broader community, making it an important election for area residents. 

Alma Center VILLAGE TRUSTEE ELECTION 2026

Voters in the Village of Alma Center will select up to two trustees in the April 7, 2026, election. Candidates include Kenneth Ristow, Joshua John, Zachariah Trickle, and Carrie June, with additional write-in options available. This race will help shape local decisions on village operations, budgeting, and community priorities, making it an important election for residents. 

Hixton Village Trustee Election 2026

 Voters in the Village of Hixton will select up to two trustees in the April 7, 2026 election. Candidates include Jay Mageland, Todd Skoien, and Sharon Truschka, with additional write-in options available. This race will help guide local decisions on village operations, budgeting, and community priorities, making it an important election for residents. 

Justice of the Supreme Court Election 2026

Voters will choose one candidate for Justice of the Wisconsin Supreme Court in the April 7, 2026, election. The race features Chris Taylor and Maria S. Lazar. The election has drawn statewide attention, with Democrats supporting Chris Taylor and Republicans endorsing Maria Lazar. The outcome will play a significant role in shaping decisions on key legal and constitutional issues across Wisconsin. 

Blair-Taylor School Referendum 2026

 Voters in the Blair-Taylor School District will decide whether to allow the district to exceed state revenue limits by $1,100,000 per year for three years, beginning with the 2026–2027 school year and ending with the 2028–2029 school year. The funding would support maintaining current operations, student programming, and facility maintenance. This referendum will play a key role in shaping the district’s financial stability and educational offerings. 

Melrose-Mindoro School Referendum 2026

 Voters in the Melrose-Mindoro School District will decide whether to allow the district to exceed state-imposed revenue limits by $1,000,000 per year for four years, beginning with the 2026–2027 school year and ending with the 2029–2030 school year. The additional funding would be used for non-recurring operational expenses. This referendum could impact school funding, programs, and overall district operations, making it an important decision for residents in the district.
